🚀 Dorman CS360028 Clutch Slave Cylinder: Superior Performance and Durability for Optimal Transmission Function Review

I replaced the clutch slave cylinder on my '97 Miata as part of a regular service, it's been over a month and it's working great, no signs of a leak or anything.

Worked great for 9 months but broke down last week leaving a nice puddle of liquid in my driveway. I live in Phoenix Arizona so maybe the heat played a role but I think the role should be at least a year long, call me crazy.

Looks just as good as the original with the improved extended tip you see in the photo. The original has only one ball head. I think this improvement makes it easier to install and operate. There are no problems with installation and operation. I installed it and it works.

Cylinder had a large hole along its length due to poor casting. It appears to have migrated most of the way through the cylinder wall. Because of this porosity issue, I don't want to risk a pressure leak. This defect could not really be overlooked in any visual inspection. I buy from another seller.

Looks like the original, swapped out with no problems. Works as it should. Plus, it's always great to see your parts delivered to your door instead of having to queue at an auto parts store for service! Connected indirectly, get a wrench with a flare nut to tighten the clutch line fitting. Save yourself the fear and worry of the box wrench slipping off the fitting and snapping a corner or two.

Fits and works great on my 2001 Mazda Miata SE. I've only had it a couple of weeks so I don't know about durability but installation was very easy. Don't bother removing the tire, just pick up the front of the car and turn the wheel to the left and you'll have access to the clutch fluid line, top screw and bleeder. quick installation and works fantastic! The clutch engagement point changes randomly while driving. from the normal 2-3 inches from the floor to maybe a half to 1 inch from the floor. I also noticed that the fluid in my master cylinder was turning black after a few days of riding. I flushed it several times to make sure there was no residue (air/water/contaminants) in the fluid, rode it for a few days and it turned black again.
