Beautiful and functional butter dish

I need a butter dish so that butter doesn't get in the fridge and spreads out softly. This is the ideal option. Color, size and shape correspond to the description and photos. The lid seals the oil inside to not attract critters. An 8 tablespoon stick of butter fits in easily. I haven't tried any big or different shapes - I don't usually buy anything else. The dish is well made and meets or exceeds my expectations. Easily deserves 5 stars!

Big size but no seal

Looks great. Does not seal. I liked the look of this dish with butter. It was large and blended in well with other items on my countertop. Unfortunately, the lid could not be closed. Thinking it was coincidence I suggested a replacement through Amazon. The process was easy to navigate. Got a new one a few days later. Before I could send the original back. The new one had the same problem. The lid never closed when it was new. If you are looking for an airtight seal I would not recommend this.

This butter dish is perfect for keeping butter on the counter, making it soft and easy to spread while still being eco-friendly. I can almost guarantee that 100% of the reviews will complain about the lid not fitting because the lid gasket was upside down. It appears that some of these cookware leave the factory with the gasket installed upside down. We've had this issue, but after removing the gasket, flipping the lid over and putting it back on works great. The lid seal has two lugs for…

I had a few issues, but it's still a beautiful buttery dish.

I had some problems with my -1. There was a black mark or something, so I attached that side to the wall. Will not come off.2. There was a chemical smell, but I washed the lid, lid and plate. I bought this because I admit I use a lot of oil and I'm a bit obsessed with cleanliness. I've always worried about traditional oil holders where the oil is on the flat underside of the base because the oil inevitably always ends up on the top of the lid. PRO: I like the color chosen.
