I will not use them for their intended purpose. I actually bought these to work with some of the oversized stainless steel rings I use in my chain mail projects. I needed something heavy to get a good grip on the rings. I work with 12 gauge SWG stainless steel and this stuff is a real bear to move the way you want without something heavy enough to hold on to. These pliers were meant to fit the bit exactly, and the ergonomic handles were a huge plus for me.

Pliers received and obviously used (see picture). I was in dire need of a new pair so I ordered them for same day delivery. When I noticed that they were obviously used I thought I was crazy but thought I would use them quickly to fix a fence so I left it out. BUT after trying to remove a few hog rings I have to say the handle/teeth on the front don't really grab anything and the knives don't cut very well. I was so upset that I had to spend a few bucks more on the brand name.

The quality of the product, especially the plastic coating on the handles, is not very good. Overpriced for the $8.99 I paid. , costs no more than $5.50. Why? After receiving my order, I went to the nearest store. I noticed that you can get good quality pliers for about $11. That's why I say $5.50 for it, well worth it if it's half the price of a similar tool but better quality.
