Also suitable for sheet masks!

Don't ask me how but a few weeks ago while washing the mask in the sink it went straight down the drain. We rent and the drain plugs were too rusty to take apart. We bought one of those plastic snakes with teeth on the sides and it didn't do any good. THIS line came out in less than a few minutes. I'm SO LIMITED we don't have to call a plumber right now. If he can grab a cloth face mask, I think he'll be good at grabbing anything.

Great for removing hair growth

Just used this product today. We have accumulated a bath for a long time, since two people and a dog (German Shepherd) regularly take a shower. It did the creation in less than five minutes. It took some skill to get the cord all the way down the drain, but that's pretty much to be expected with this type of job. Even after charging the drill's battery, there was no extra hair or dirt. Get the job done in five minutes on the first try with normal drain cleaning efforts.

Worked well, but without instructions, kinked at the 2nd drain.

Some instructions with some do's and don'ts would help me keep the line going. I used it on the sink but it stuck. So I figured I'd reverse the drill bit and slowly unscrew the drain snake. Unfortunately, this is the opposite direction the wire is wound, so it buckled and twisted into a sad mess. I went ahead again and most was fine, but there was a serious kink in the drain snake that made it much more difficult to use. I know this is user error, but there was no information on how to use it…

Amazing easy to use tool

I have used plastic zip ties, drain grommets etc for most sink clogs. They usually do a good job, but the last blockage was too deep for the length of these tools. I found this Drain Shroom and liked the idea and decided to give it a try despite the bad reviews I saw. It worked in less than two minutes. The trick is to use it at low speed and feed it gently so it can make the trap's turns. The size of the wire is perfect as it easily went down the drain. Once it detects a blockage, the slow…

BEST $14.99 I WILL EVER SPEND

I can't say enough about this product! All the drains in my house are clogged all the time. The last time this got to the point where there was a puddle of water in my roll top shower we tried every product on the market to no avail and ended up having to call a plumber. Today I took the DrainShroom drill bit out of the box, unwrapped it, put the drill bit in my drill bit like any other drill bit, and in 20 minutes cleaned the master bedroom shower, master bath, both master sinks, and my…

Works perfectly! - Update, it's broken!

Update - I had to clean my hair again. Unfortunately, my bathtub handle "broke". The part you're sticking down the drain is bent, and when I insert the drill, it just flies dangerously at me. It worked so well the first time that I'm going to buy a second one. Lets see what happens. I really wasn't sure about this product. I'm not skilled and the tub didn't drain. I hate going to professionals all the time and spending tons of dollars. I've tried non-toxic drain plugs; they didn't really help…

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There are defects

As many others have mentioned, this only applies to very light conditions. You have to be very careful not to twist it if it gets stuck on something because the spool twists and you can never get that twist. Remember the days when crappy phone wires turned into rats' nests? Imagine it, but with metal. And full of hair and dirt. Drill it slowly and when you meet resistance, pull it out again. If it doesn't move, turn the drill backwards. When it's fully tied and you keep pulling on it, the spool
