Great coloring book!

This book contains everything you need to paint. I gave it to my son for Christmas and he absolutely loved it! It has different ways of drawing the same thing, giving you the freedom to choose which method works best for you. Very happy with it!

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything great

For anyone who wants to be an artist

Excellent Book! I read and applied this technique to become a better and great artist! My husband is an artist and he taught me how to draw and become an artist so I bought this book! With the help and guidance of my husband and this book, my drawings have improved a lot! Also, drawing and art has become my favorite fun and relaxing activity!

Pros
  • The Best
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Not what I expected

I was disappointed with this book. I find it too complicated for an absolute beginner. The lessons come with lots of instructions and a picture or two that you can try to reproduce. I needed a step by step guide. They also spent a lot of time telling you what you need when all you really need is a pencil and a drawing pad. If you really want to learn to draw and don't have any experience, buy Mark Kistler's Learn to Draw in 30 Days book.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Null

NOT for beginners in art and photography

Not for beginners. There are some good tutorials out there, but the ABSOLUTE beginner needs at least a drawing class before picking up this book. Preferably two. There is also too much information about tools in the intro. A total beginner only needs paper, a pencil and freehand drawing instructions. circles, lines, squares. Cubes, Cylinders, Pyramids. then an object with a step-by-step guide. This book skips sooo many steps! My husband wants to learn to draw and I bought this book because I…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

People need to calm down and read the whole book.

I think this is a good drawing book for beginners to use alongside many other reference books and tutorials. This is a fact and a clinical presentation. I see a lot of people complaining that it's not for beginners. Reviews seem to indicate how some early examples of drawings progress from molds to abruptly completed professional drawings. I believe if you have the patience to become a good artist or draftsman, you will have the patience to turn a few pages and realize that this book describes…

NOT for beginners! in art and photography

Even an average student in an art class would have difficulty with this text. You don't get clear instructions, just professionally rendered images that you, a beginner, won't be able to reproduce. I should have known it was a loss when he started teaching you how to draw a coffee cup without telling you that you have to have a coffee cup in front of you to be able to draw. You should have just followed their extremely difficult instructions that will leave you frustrated, demoralized and ready

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No idea
