Great book to stimulate the artist in you

This book will be of great help to the artist who may be struggling with a creative block. The creatures in this book are made in the form, not after the pattern, of the animals seen. It's a bit like observing animals and things in the clouds. In this case, start with the visible shapes, then add eyes, maybe ears, a nose, and a mouth. There is an exercise that involves looking for shapes in the cracks in the pavement. I love that it actually includes photos of cracks in the sidewalks. So if you're stuck somewhere and can't find your own…

Great for professionals and beginners

Always illustrated books and articles. My mother was also an illustrator. However, while working on my own children's book series, I was deeply dissatisfied with my numbers. They are good but too realistic. I just couldn't give up traditional imagery and techniques. I thought the cover of this book was cute and the reviews were good so I ordered a copy. (Seeing how expensive used copies are strengthened my decision. Clearly, few are willing to turn down this book.) When the book arrived, I…
