It was an amazing invention. Mashed potatoes very good. I haven't used my potato wedge blender since it arrived. It's pretty durable and easy to clean. Will definitely be replaced if lost.

This kitchen tool excels at simmering potatoes, apples and squash to a smooth, creamy texture. I bought a second Smood as a Christmas present. Who loves mashed potatoes with lumps for the holidays!?!

I love this blender tool! Use it to puree, then the hand mixer for a whipped texture. but with this one you don't need a mixer!

This product disappointed me the most. It's too strong and uncomfortable to handle. I ordered 4 to give to my daughters and sister in law because they looked so easy to work with in the picture. My great-grandchildren love playing with it though.

Where has this device been all my life! It turns out a perfectly homogeneous puree. No more sticky texture from using an electric mixer or cleaning the rice machine holes. It's durable and quickly handles whatever you want to knead. I've tried it for roast, sweet potatoes, and beans. Phenomenal!

I really wanted to love this thing when I ordered it. However, my wife was someone I really wanted to impress with this amazing new way of doing old-fashioned things. To put it mildly? She wasn't impressed at all. She threw it back in the bottom drawer and hasn't touched it since. Having used it myself a few times I have to agree. Pieces of potato stick to the spring washers and have to be knocked down with force - the potatoes don't knead any better than in a traditional crush.

Pressing on the plastic coils of the spring is extremely difficult - the task would be much easier without this tool, much easier with a traditional stationary press. This has to be the best potato masher ever! We've all tried the regular hole types, which take a lot of effort with mediocre results, and you can get them at the store for a buck. I then switched to an electric hand mixer and when the speed is high enough to mash the potatoes it scatters the potato chunks and requires too much milk.
