Review on ๐Ÿฅ” Dreamfarm Smood: Red One-Handed Stainless-Steel Spring Coil Vegetable and Potato Masher with Soft Grip and Bowl Scraper by Jennifer Jenkins

The best potato masher!

This has to be the best potato masher ever! We've all tried the regular hole types, which take a lot of effort with mediocre results, and you can get them at the store for a buck. I then switched to an electric hand mixer and when the speed is high enough to mash the potatoes it scatters the potato chunks and requires too much milk. The design of THIS Dreamfarm Smood Stamper is awesome and it worked so fast, so easy and so good it was surreal. I thought I was sleeping. I always steam potatoes as cooked food loses a lot of nutrients in the water and now I find that microwave food changes molecules and decreases nutritional value to the point that I almost never microwave again. I steam chopped potatoes, put them in a large plastic bowl and use this potato masher. If I made 6 medium potatoes, the puree only requires 1 serving of milk -- about 8 ounces total, which is a lot less than an electric mixer takes. The consistency is great, it goes fast and I would never use any other tamper. It's a beautiful design and solid construction. I can't recommend it enough! Of course, mashed potatoes will collect on the coils, so scrape it off with a rubber spatula from time to time, which is great for that. You will love this product and eat mashed potatoes more often! I sometimes add lightly sautรฉed diced onion and garlic and always pepper it. Once the mashed potatoes are on my plate, I add margarine and/or Campbell's Canned Chicken Sauce.
