Someone wrote on the dog pedicure tool "Just buy a Dremel" so I followed their recommendation. I'm glad I did. This tool is AMAZING. I'm sure you can do all sorts of tricks with it. I use it to trim pets' claws. I love the wireless feature, it charges the battery and once they get used to it the dogs and the cat both resigned themselves to me leaving (okay, the cat still doesn't really like it but he's quite a feisty cat) . Pros
Compact and lightweight for easy handling and less fatigue
It's light and comfortable to hold, and the charge lasts much longer than my previous Dremel. This ability to cut for extended periods of time without balancing a heavy drill was exactly what I was looking for. I've been using this Dremel for about a week now and wouldn't recommend it to female carvers as the shank lock button should make it easier to change bits. The button only works when pushed all the way up and it has to be pushed with all the force I can muster with my thumb which isβ¦
I'm not sure if I received a defective unit or not, but swapping bits in and out of the chuck is quite frustrating. You hold down the blue button to lock the chuck, then use a wrench to loosen the nut a bit, then open the chuck further with a few turns of your hand. My old (corded) Dremel works the same way and I'm already used to it. But after loosening the nut with a wrench and tightening it with your fingers, most often the nut just keeps unscrewing, but the chuck doesn't lose grip on theβ¦
