Optimized Tool Life

When grinding or cutting 22 gauge sheet metal, I've found that it helps to extend the life of an EZ-Lock chuck when the spindle is fully inserted into the tool chuck, so that the EZ-Lock fails. Failure to do so may cause the sheave to wobble, break the sheave, or prematurely wear out the teeth in the EZ-lock. They aren't cheap. Once after 10m use is disappointing.

Pros
  • That's amazing
Cons
  • Hard to say

Good concept! Bad design!

These wheels are a good concept and work great for a while. But after a short while, the centerpiece holding the EZ's wheel detaches from the wheel, rendering it useless, even though there's still plenty of life left on the wheel itself. Because of this I need 2 to do some tasks. Maybe that's why they're sold in packs of 5, as they're easy to burn through.

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Little things

EZ Lock is an unsuccessful trick

Total rubbish. The cutting wheel itself works well, but E-Lock messes it up. So far all the elements designed by EZ Lock have failed me. What happens is the ring that attaches to the EZ lock breaks, leaving you with a disc that spins like a hoola-hoop. It took me a whole pack of these washers to cut 6 medium sized bolts. Ridiculous.

Too expensive, too easy to break, but extremely useful for certain jobs.

These tiny discs are VERY expensive but are necessary for certain jobs. They also break too easily right around the mounting hole leaving an expensive naught as of course you can't use them as intended afterwards. While they are very useful, I don't like being jacked in price "because" they are very useful. The gain from these little discs must be incredible.

Cut metal in seconds!

Bought a dremel to cut out a metal dash panel in my old Volkswagen Beetle to install some extra oil temp and oil pressure gauges. These wheels worked like a charm, cutting through metal with absolute ease and the holes were cut in minutes! Lots of sparks, but that's to be expected when grinding metal. Great product, sands down pretty quickly so be sure to buy a few for your project but it certainly made things 1000x easier.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great product, very durable

If you do medium to heavy metal work (for a Dremel) this is the best after cutting bread. I had to cut off a few pieces of the 1/2" angle and decided to use my 4.5" angle grinder. But due to the fact that I had to grind a 1/4 inch wide strip of metal (the width of the grinding wheel) it took a long time. So I tried them with my Dremel (also available at Home Depot) and it went much faster. I've cut quite a bit of metal with them over the years and have never broken one. You are strong. Also…

Great blades for making a homebrew tank manifold

These Dremel blades were just what I needed to make dozens of small thin cuts in copper tubing for a homebrew tank copper manifold. The cuts were thin and clean. Only a few burrs remain that require additional cleaning. They wore out quickly. If you look at the attached picture, after cutting a length of pipe, the blades wear out almost completely. I obviously haven't used this in the usual way, so I'm by no means disappointed with the results. The blades continued to shear, almost becoming a…

Pros
  • Superb construction

  • Crumpled packaging

Great cutter for Dremel tools.

They cut pretty much everything. With the EZ-Lock, they can be removed and installed in seconds. I've cut metal, plastic, wood and possibly other materials. However, they are not very strong and can easily break if mishandled. If you use them carefully, there will be no problems. But if you try too hard, you can break them. When you put the tool down, do not put anything on it or put pressure on it, as you can easily break the disc. But once I broke one I became more careful afterwards and…
