They work, they really work! Simply use in accordance with normal workshop practice.

They work really well! I'm glad I have this opportunity. I have many different types of drills, including many "core saws". Most of my hole saws are for wood, some for cutting light masonry. This set is capable of cutting aluminum and they cut well. All common methods are still in demand: oiling, punching, chipping, baking. After all, they work fine. Just use the standard methods!

Great Saw - Weak Bits

Once you've drilled a pilot hole and can place the saw on a surface, it will swallow it up in no time. Great performer apart from those dog exercises. Both my 50 and 53 broke as soon as a small hole opened up, they couldn't withstand the strain. I had to finish the pilot holes with an HSS drill and then use it as a pilot to complete the cut. Overall it's worth the price I paid for it and it has many usable sizes. I used them on a standard stainless steel catering equipment stand, FYI.

If you just need to make a few big holes in a short amount of time, this will likely work, but with some caveats.

My project involved drilling some vent holes in 12 gauge sheet metal, I just needed enough to let air through so dimensions were not critical. I just don't have a plasma cutter like my fashion friends. The carbide teeth cut really well and hold up really well. They really cut. The secret of carbide is that you have to work with them a little faster than with steel tools to keep them happy and apply less pressure. They'll penetrate 12-gauge steel in no time.
