Once you've drilled a pilot hole and can place the saw on a surface, it will swallow it up in no time. Great performer apart from those dog exercises. Both my 50 and 53 broke as soon as a small hole opened up, they couldn't withstand the strain. I had to finish the pilot holes with an HSS drill and then use it as a pilot to complete the cut. Overall it's worth the price I paid for it and it has many usable sizes. I used them on a standard stainless steel catering equipment stand, FYI.
