You absolutely need heavy needles. Not everything has to be thrown away; Things can be fixed. Recommend a leather glove for "pulling” heavy needles through thick materials (tarpaulin, denim, or leather). Sliding with just a thimble is sometimes not the best technique.

I was looking for stuffed animal repair needles and wanted needles that can be used with dental floss (good for repairing stuffed animal worn by pets) and finally found needles that that are big enough to handle ears. They fully meet my requirements and are not expensive. I'm glad I found her.

This is the second needle I have purchased from this pack. I'm really bad at sewing anything hehe but these needles seem sturdy and just right for emergencies. from the usual, thinner way of repairing materials - with two smaller needles in a set - to leather and other tough, thick materials, with the largest or even curved needles. it won't look neat but if need be I can sew something good to fix/fix it.
