Do Not Buy Better Aquarium Water Treatment

This product did not work. It arrived late, hot, and I'm guessing it's out of date because the expiration date is so smudged. I've heard a lot of good things about the company and the product and when I was struggling to create a fish free cycle in my aquarium I decided to give it a try. That does not work. I waited very patiently and followed all the directions on the bottle and on the website. If I were one of those impatient people who throw this with the fish to rotate my aquarium the fish…

Doesn't work as advertised. Garbage?

Tried a fishless cycle, added ammonia as directed by manufacturer. I've been checking regularly for the past 4 days and haven't noticed any drop in ammonia levels. It started at 2ppm and didn't drop. There are no nitrites present. Nitrates are around 10ppm from the soil I used but they haven't changed in the last 4 days. I think I need to go to the store to buy a safe tetra starter which has worked well for me in the past. Too bad I have very good things about Dr. belongs to Tim. It may have…

Excellent Reading 2.0 - Fish & Aquatic Pets

DOA DOA, yeah those guys were guys. Install a 30 gallon tank dosed with DR. Tims ammonium chloride according to the bottle directions. Excellent Reading 2.0. Time for the ONLY. - Shake for 2.5-3 minutes, dose the bottle with the hole as suggested. Waiting for the cloud to appear, the DR Times video explained, was supposed to take place and showed the nitrifying bacteria would be at work. SURPRISE - clear water without clouds. DOA == 24-36-48 hours, last same 2.0 ammonium reading and no nitrite…

Didn't work at all.

We ordered a total of two bottles plus ammonia. Our water converters are normal and ready to use. Received water with up to 4ppm ammonia and waited a week after adding the first bottle, making sure the parameters were checked every day. Were there a few more days while waiting for a new bottle to arrive, thinking we had just received a fake. Go through the same process again with the second bottle and nothing. We emailed DrTimms customer support and exchanged views. They agreed that the…

Doesn't work for me.

I followed the instructions exactly. I watched the YouTube video of Dr. Watched Tim at least three times to see if I missed any small details. My 8 year old son and I were so excited to get his first aquarium! We waited and waited and waited. Ammonia decreased as expected, but nitrite did not decrease. I mean never. Because of this, I couldn't add any more ammonia. So I decided to go the other way. A month and a half after adding One and Only, I took one of my wife's nylon stockings, added some

Worked for me, just started

Worked for me but cycle lasted 15 days, from what I've read a cycle without Dr. Tims 30 days or longer. It might have been faster if I hadn't used the Fluval shrimp and vegetable substrate because it lowers the PH and I had to keep checking the PH and doing small water changes to bring the PH up to 7 or more . I didn't know anything but I did my research and it will work, but there are rules. 1. Ph cannot go below 7, if it does the cycle will stop so you can start it again by doing a partial…
