Partial Specifications for Revain

The description of these anchors does not mention the wall thickness for which they were manufactured or the size of the hole required, and no instructions accompanied the product. I made a purchase based on the picture shown. I ended up drilling 3/8" holes and found it worked well. So far I've used them for 1/2" drywall and it has worked well. my next use will be on 5/8" thick drywall as well as porcelain tile over drywall. I'm hoping these anchors can handle the extra thickness of the wall.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Slightly Torn

Half working, half not

I'm a little disappointed with these anchors. I did a test outside the wall and it worked great. Not sure if my drywall was too thick or what, but when I used it to hang a shelf, two out of four didn't work. It's almost as if the end of the screw doesn't line up with the back hole to retract the anchor. I've already put the dowel in the wall and when removing it leaves a big hole. Luckily the two that worked were on opposite shelf brackets and I don't plan on putting anything heavy on them! All

Pros
  • Cavity wall anchor
Cons
  • Short instructions

Limited design, poor materials

I was hoping to use these anchors to attach 3/4" batten battens to the wall but the screws are too short for the Catching pins when attaching thicker ones These anchors can be useful for metal braces, but I wouldn't plan on attaching anything half an inch thick. encounter resistance. Twisting a little further removes the hook mechanism and in one case breaks off the lever which is attached to the back of the drywall. This was when I was careful with hand tightening, so expect some of them to…
