Ideal for connecting a Raspberry Pi console to a Mac

I am using this to connect my Mac to a Raspberry Pi which is a 3.3V device. The drivers are provided by SiLabs and seem to be updated regularly for new versions of OS X, Linux and Windows . Once you've downloaded and installed the drivers from SiLabs.com, you're (almost) good to go. When connecting this dongle, make sure to connect TxD to RxD and RxD to TxD (transmitter to receive and receive to transmit). Don't forget to connect the GND of the dongle to the GND of the Raspberry Pi, otherwiseโ€ฆ

Doesn't work with flashing Home Assistant.

I bought this to flash devices to work with my Home Assistant automation projects. It didn't work no matter what I tried. Hold this button, swap this cable, insert the connector while holding this button. Nothing. Don't buy for flashing HA. However, this one works - https://amzn.to/3piJqLy After I received the Moyina adapter, my first device was flashed in minutes.

I don't know for serial adapters

I bought these expecting to use in my test layouts. I have not tried this item yet. What surprised me was that the USB port was not suitable for the application. To do this I need a USB AA extension cable instead of the standard USB A to B cable. However, I have found this problem with ALL USB to TTL converters that I have found. I can probably easily replace the plug as and when I use it.

WARNING! The product does not match the photo in the product description.

The first photo of this listing shows a dedicated pre-soldered 3.3V VCC pin. Both of the USB TTL adapters I received in this package were a you open the case model and you have to solder your own connection 3.3V. This is absolutely stupid. 80% of flashed devices require 3.3V. Please correct your entry or submit the correct article.

Simple, easy to use

This was the easiest USB to TTL adapter I've tried! The first adapters I used were cheap fakes made in China and used fake chips. This model uses original chips and was immediately recognized by my two Windows 10 computers. For me it worked in about 5 minutes after opening the package! The device arrived as advertised, with a 6 pin cable, a jumper pin and the device was already packaged in a clear plastic case. Fit and finish are great! I ordered 2 when I bought it because the price was so lowโ€ฆ
