just what i needed for rPi

Need PoE for Raspberry Pi devices for some projects. PoE is much easier and more reliable than WiFi for mission-critical applications. This device offers everything I need for little money!

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Expensive

Works well with Fire HD tablets

The PoE connection works great with my Fire HD tablets. Just connect to a PoE connection and your tablet is ready to be powered. Note that you must have a PoE connection (most likely a PoE network switch) to this adapter or the tablet will not be powered.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Functionality

Easily charges an iPad 8th Gen

Ideal for powering wall-mounted iPads from a PoE switch. Power connection only. Be sure to buy a USB power adapter when using a new iPad. (Or look for a model with USB-C output) This device costs several times less than mount manufacturers' solutions.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Appearance

Useful adapter best for computers and accessories

This adapter is great if you have a PoE switch and need to power something via USB. It's a little pricey if you have to buy a bunch of these, especially since you can get power strips with built-in USB ports, but in some cases it can offer a handy option for powering USB devices.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Good but not great

Powered by Wyze Cam

Wyze Cam 3 uses Micro-USB. However, it comes with a USB to Micro USB cable that is about 3 feet long. This POE splitter is the only one I found that had a regular USB port to plug the cable into. This allowed the POE splitter to stay inside and the camera outside. I did not check Ethernet.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Unreliable

Didn't work for me.: Networking products

The devices arrived and I was happy to try them. When connected to my UBNT 8-150w switch, I plugged the phone into the USB cable and nothing. Then I tried 2 other switches and still nothing works. The seller doesn't allow returns so I'm stuck with 4 network connections that don't help. If you have a different brand of POE switch, it may work.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Quality

Ideal adapter for use with Logitech Circle 2 HomeKit camera

If you own one of the Logitech Circle 2 cameras (now discontinued) and need to extend its USB power cable, you've succeeded . very unhappy. USB to 120V extension cables are hard to find used, and I think the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) was around $30. Well we have a great solution with this product if you can get a PoE cable to your camera location. Just plug and play and get 10 watts of power for your Circle 2! There's no IP address, of course, as your Circle 2 is still using…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Low repairability

Provides power and data

To make it work - for certain things. I powered IP cameras and RaspberryPI to make it run on power. Other than that, the power cord that comes from it doesn't seem to be connected to anything. The site says it's 10/100 but I had no connection indicator for anything I plugged it into. I believe this splitter is for USB power only and the ethernet isn't connected to anything. No problem with that - just know what you're getting. Edit: After some research with similar products - the data works but

Powers Raspberry Pi easily but does not offer network connectivity

I am using this to power a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B from a Juniper EX2200-C Virtual Chassis. The Raspberry Pi powers on with no problem and the switch displays PoE Class 4 (30W). Unfortunately, there is no combination of autonegotiation, speed, flow control, duplex, etc. on the Raspberry Pi side, nor on the Juniper Switch side. Ethernet passthrough really works. The best I can get is to set both sides to 100/full/manual and the link on the raspberry pi goes up/up but the link on the juniper…
