Ocean-themed Outward Hound Dublin Dog KOA Dog Collar Review

In general I am satisfied with the collar. Cool appearance, nice waterproof material, it's cool that there is no smell! BUT, I only bought it 2 months ago and the plastic is already peeling off at the end - see photo. My only other issue is with the collar. I bought a larger size for my mastiff puppy to grow up so there is obviously a lot of extra collar material sticking out. The little tab that is supposed to hold the excess material in place on the collar was useless. Slipped off immediately

For the past few years three of our dogs have exactly the same colors as the ones we bought two years ago they still look great they are totally waterproof. The new one we received this week is not waterproof and is not fully sealed at the end of the collar. And in just a few rainy days, the color on the new one faded because water got in where the buckle holes were. I am a professional dog trainer and in my experience these Dublin dog collars are absolutely the best! Each one I've bought has lasted for years without smelling or causing irritation. They are completely waterproof and can withstand daily hikes without wear and tear. My only complaint is that sizing can be tricky: my dog wears a large because the medium is too small even on the largest setting, but even the second or third opening of the large had nearly 4 inches of extra collar that I had to…

Don't forget to measure your dog first. I took advice from a man who commented that he got a size large for his dog who was 65lbs so I ordered it as my dog is almost exactly 65lbs and it didn't even come close to fitting her. Of course I have a skinny dog (German Wirehaired Pointer) but I highly recommend measuring and using a leash as your dog will need to be a Mastiff, Bernese Mountain Dog etc for it to fit.
