Does the job at the sport

Works great with i9 Hydra hubs. keeps it quiet but don't worry, over time it will get noisy again but that doesn't mean it doesn't do its job, the hub stays well lubricated, service intervals are much longer than oil.

Pros
  • Fun
Cons
  • Useless features

Fantastic light lube

Works great. Soothes my loose bushings but doesn't grab the pawls and springs. I went with a noise reduction lube, but if you're looking for something with less friction but more noise, then go for the free hub oil.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

That's hub grease! suitable for grease

After degreasing the rear hub I had to lubricate the hub with something so I bought this. This made my rear hub much quieter than I'm used to. Whether my hub is silent or not doesn't bother me. The most important thing for me is that he did his job!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Almost silent! for bike tools and maintenance

Excellent lube! If your I9 sockets are too loud and you want to keep them quiet, then this lube is for you. I couldn't believe how close they were to stillness. I love it. They still work just as well as before, smooth as silk. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Not as thick as other kits

Made my industry 9 hub almost QUIET!

My new wheels came pre-packaged with this stuff at my local bike shop and it made the "mad hornet" sounding Industry 9 hubs almost silent. Repacking lasted about 500 miles and it started making noise again. but the EZ just needs to be repackaged and this thing does the trick! I will also try this on Stan's NoTubes noisy race hubs next time I service these wheels.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Softly buzzing bees

I used this on my i9 flashlight. It's a miracle. So quieter and smoother. Gradually increasing in volume for hundreds of kilometers. Will probably be cleaned and repackaged every 300 in the future. If you like noise, use their oil. I love listening to nature and chatting with friends without shouting. FYI, this is the only lube brand that i9 recommends. You can use others and be fine, but why bother?

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Slightly torn

WHAT MAKES YOUR I9 SILENT

I watched the I9 hub upgrade video and bought this grease because they used it. I had dry bushes so I guess I overdid my application a bit. I was shocked to see that the beautifully loud hub was almost silent when I was done. Over time probably half the noise has returned and I'm sure it's a good lube so I'm happy, but if you pride yourself on having the loudest hubs on your group ride look for one petroleum product.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good mostly, but...

Best Hub Lube

Like hub oil, this is a great product when you know you're going to be riding long and the service intervals are longer than usual. When used correctly it is quite weak, you don't need much. However, it gets a little louder over time. Its composition is very similar to oil. Lubrication protects the inner parts of the hub better when you know you will be riding in water or in very wet conditions.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Great for the ninth industry and DT Swiss

Tried this with an Industrial Nine Flare and a DT 240. Works great with both, but this is particularly noticeable on an Industrial Nine Flare. The flareless bushing design really limits what you can use to lubricate, and thick oil or very light grease is a must. Ordinary sticky lubricant actually prevents the pawls from engaging properly. This product works great and another product called liquid lube from the same manufacturer also works very well. You can easily use this particular product…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
