The rope that was attached upon receipt jumped out of the retriever on the first throw. Now I have no disc and no retriever.

Don't expect to blindly pull out discs with this disc. But if you can see your drive, you'll be glad you brought your golden retriever with you.

Compact and simple design. My frisbee seems to love water. With a little practice I was able to restore it. This is a great addition to your frisbee finder kit. (I also use 4 foot grips)

!This is a great tool for getting discs out of the pond that players need to throw. However, we had better luck gliding blindly across the pond and pulling out over 40 slices. BUT, if you lose the disc you see, go and find where it hit, it's harder to get it out of the pond.

This retriever costs less than most discs. So if you use it once, you will get your money's worth. This is the second box I've bought (the first fell out of my pocket). I live in a place where almost every other field has waterholes. So over the years I've scavenged hundreds of dollars worth of CDs. That thing is cute!

I was very excited to finally get my hands on this product. I regularly play disc golf at the local park with a pond. My brother-in-law found the disc in a pond and we tried the product. After 3 throws, the Metal Retriever flew into the middle of the pond. We won't see each other again! The product seems to have a lot of potential, just needs work on the factory assembly!

I chose this product over telescopic retrievers based on a 50 foot range claim. It actually comes with two ropes, 20ft and 30ft which could be as described but I didn't realize it until reading the packaging when the product arrived. A bit annoying but can't say for sure it was advertised differently.
