Incorrectly assembled.

On my motherboard (and most motherboards that I understand) the cooler mounts are perpendicular to the backplane, which means that when installed this cooler blows sideways instead of forward - behind. If they did a version that was exactly like this but rotated 90 degrees I would have it in a heartbeat, but it's hard to recommend under the circumstances.

Pros
  • Aluminum sandwich fin with heat pipes
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Works but awkward to install

Probably one of the few realistic options for small form factor cases with tight PSU spacing. The stock Wraith cooler for the Ryzen 7 2700 is big enough to fight the PSU for airflow. As others have pointed out, the ribs hang from the mounting screws on one side. Purchase a Philips #1 long precision screwdriver BEFORE you begin the installation. Anything else will drive you nuts if you try to use it without chewing on the ribs or the head of the screw. It seems like a 5mm offset to one side…

Pros
  • 4-pin PWM fan
Cons
  • No instructions

Works well in 2U with X470D4U

Avoided for a long time due to reviews. I've been trying to fit the 3800x into a 1U box with a couple of different Dynatron heatsinks, one passive and one active. By no means was the noise level in my house acceptable, especially since I had a lower powered chip to try and reduce the heat. Put this bad guy and the same hardware in a 2U case, reset the default BIOS for the CPU. Tensions and levels, and everything is perfect. It can get a bit noisy here and there during the summer heat, but I…

Pros
  • Recommended for servers 2U and above
