On my motherboard (and most motherboards that I understand) the cooler mounts are perpendicular to the backplane, which means that when installed this cooler blows sideways instead of forward - behind. If they did a version that was exactly like this but rotated 90 degrees I would have it in a heartbeat, but it's hard to recommend under the circumstances.

Avoided for a long time due to reviews. I've been trying to fit the 3800x into a 1U box with a couple of different Dynatron heatsinks, one passive and one active. By no means was the noise level in my house acceptable, especially since I had a lower powered chip to try and reduce the heat.
