If you think you can do without the included tool kit, you probably can't. Without them it would be impossible for me to pull the strap over the pulley. Spend extra money and get a bunch of tools. you will thank me If you're just replacing the pulley and not the belts, you can eliminate the need for a tool kit because all the belts are already tensioned.

The product was good. No booklet or instructions. Before ordering replacement parts, I recommend watching a belt replacement video. It's a little trickier than it looks because they are inside the clutch and require a special screwdriver and patience. My Dyson has a few parts that can easily break if you're not very careful. This has worked great for me, but it's still not an easy task. Significant force is required to pull the strap over the posts on the tool. On my Dyson model I had to replace the clutch assembly so the replacement straps were not practical. Dismantling the clutch to change the belts is not an easy task, since it is not intended for service. However, the presence of this tool allowed me to remove the old roller brush. The seller must clearly understand that clutched models (which give you a choice of hard floor or carpet) have two belts, but you can actually only change one ( clutch belt ).
