I had an issue with my DC25 where the front roller would jam randomly from time to time and eventually stop working altogether. I opened up the whole vacuum, took it completely apart, made sure all the wires were intact, cleaned all the hair (my dogs shed like wow), and the front motor + roller still wouldn't turn on. I was worried about having to replace the front motor, but I decided to replace that reset switch first. And indeed, it worked. phew Saved me over $80

Quick and easy fix to brushroll problem

Bought to fix a friend's Dyson DC25. He had the famous intermittent toothbrush problem. After testing other switches with a continuity test on my DMM, I found that this "reset switch" (which is actually more like a circuit breaker, the same as the one you find in your electrical box, only smaller) was a problem. Unfortunately, I could not find a way to purchase this part directly from the Kuoyuh manufacturer. So paying $15 for such a simple part in a Dyson bag was a pain. But at least it was…

At first I thought it was a brushed motor and almost bought a new one. However, it turned out that the reset switch was the culprit. There are three buttons on the Dyson (my model was the DC24), two of which you use - the ON/OFF switch and the BRUSH-BAR ON/OFF - but the third is under the brush-bar's on/off switch hidden. Pressing the brush button…

Easy repair to save Dyson DC25

The seller was quick and the parts cost is low. Used to repair my DC25. The brush roller starts for a split second and then stops rotating. I've tried everything from cleaning the brush roll to checking the belt to cleaning the inside where the belt is. It was a reset switch that for about $8 part is easy to fix. Watch video on youtube. The biggest problem is the screws in the grip - Torx head, not hex or Phillips - and then removing the plastic casing without losing the spring(s) inside. The…
