CC not working properly

When powered by a circuit which is itself switched by a relatively low frequency PWM signal, the CC circuit will not work at all as shown in the figure. Maybe it's a low sample rate problem? Although buck-boost shifts smoothly.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Contact seller

Great for DIY power supplies with different input voltage

Wherever you need an output voltage and current meter for a buck/boost application this is a good product. This is many times more expensive than just a standard buck-boost converter, but the gauges justify the higher cost.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • I'll write back later

Works great - power supply accessory

Works great. Does exactly what it should. I'm deducting a star because it came without papers. However, it is identical to the buck-boost that Drok sells (and stocks), so I had instructions from them for this converter. I think this one is a bit cheaper than Drok but Drok had documentation.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Slow start up time for power converters

I replaced the fixed current LED driver with this to reduce the LED current on my polymer printer a bit. This board works great and is pretty easy to use. I reduced my rating to 4 runs because the controller run time is a little slow. The regulator takes about 250ms to reach the desired voltage after being idle long enough to discharge the capacitors. It takes about 100 ms for the regulator to reach the regulated voltage (either the desired voltage or the current-limited voltage) when the…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Works mostly as advertised, however mechanical design is questionable

Refill works mostly as advertised; I can't seem to get more than 2.5A at 13.6V, but admittedly I could already do that. abused mine. It seems to have a rough start (thought it was supposed to start off smoothly). The extra solder pads were a welcome feature. The potentiometers seem to have a little hysteresis so you probably only need to approach the setpoint from one direction. Also, at 2A and above, the heatsink will reach its limit temperature (about 60C), so you should probably take that…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
