Tofu or paneer (the Indian version of tofu or cottage cheese) cooks up beautifully in this container. It is worth buying.

Happy Camper on Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

I eat a lot of tofu. I did a lot of research before purchasing this press. That's incredible. It doesn't compress as quickly as the screw version, but doesn't need to be tightened. When I bring the tofu home, I open it up and put it in a press, which I put in the fridge. Catch water carefully. I've found it keeps well in the fridge for at least two or three days, and when I want tofu it's well pressed and ready to go. And very easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. I couldn't be happier…

Insufficient spring pressure

This set didn't suit me very well. I like to squeeze as much water as possible out of my frozen/thawed tofu, but the only pressure on the tofu in this set comes from a source that isn't very strong. It pushes to a certain point and then stops and you can't set it to push harder. If you then take the set apart and manually squeeze the tofu between the two plastic pieces (like you can with two plates), a lot more water comes out. Also, the clamps on the sides are very difficult to close when tofu

Poor and very difficult to use

I was hoping this would work as my original abs are MUCH larger in comparison and who has extra kitchen space to waste. Unfortunately, that's not good at all. The first time it was almost impossible to close at all - just start. I figured I was doing something very wrong since I couldn't close it and meanwhile my tofu was making slurping noises as I valiantly tried to close the thing. It took all of my strength and power to put this thing on a low table so I could push on it with all my weight…
