EBC Brakes DP31584C Redstuff Ceramic Review

I love the look of these pads. Gentle pulsing stops this 10 year old car better than factory pads! Hope the wear factor is just as good!

This is the second time I have bought Red Stuff pads and they are amazing. The brakes are MUCH better than stock pads. I also use EBC brake discs.

Wanted to fit these pads on my 2016 Wrx in combination with Stoptech slotted rotors but noticed 1 was missing the retaining clip, had to reinstall my old pads. The exchange procedure is the same. The problem is the already mounted seals.

Excellent stopping power combined with slotted EBC sport rims and the red color looks pretty good where it peeks out from under the calipers. I've put about 1,000 miles on them and the low dust claim seems legitimate. Installation was easy and the fit was precise and comfortable. I am very happy with them so far and if I can get a reasonable lifespan out of them I will buy them again next time I need to change them.

I thought these things were great on day one, but then (3 months later) the relevant rotors warped and when I looked at them they were pretty worn. damned fast. I bought Wagner pads/rotors and everything is fine. EBC support basically told me that the rotor problem was with my machine and that I needed the rotors to spin on the hub to adjust them. It's a lot of crap as their products are rubbish and I have no problem with the same car with (cheaper) Wagner breakdowns a year later. I will never…
