These brakes are great for the track. For the road these brakes are acceptable but not ideal. Track days, canyons, spirited driving, these brakes resist wear on my 2012 VW GLI. A daily commute, a trip to the store, meeting up on a date—these brakes aren't ideal. They don't keep very well when they're cold. Also, they are very dusty and very noisy, with no consistency. street, but not ideal. I recommend you keep these pads for track days only.

They are factory fitted for GTI and GLI and what an improvement. I didn't think I would notice a difference in braking but my old brakes must have been crap. It's light years ahead! They make some noise when braking when completely cold, but the noise is extremely small. There is noticeable brake dust, but that doesn't really bother me. As soon as these pads warm up a bit, the noise disappears. I would definitely recommend them and will buy them again if I need more pads.

I bought these pads for a 2006 Audi A3 and followed the EBC instructions for the burn-in procedure. The problem is that these pads have a layer of "transition material" (which is used to clean the rotors for 200 miles). I put over 300 miles on the pads before attempting the track break-in procedure, after the 5th medium brake I felt a hard pedal and almost hit the tire wall.
