Used 2 sets in 8 months

Used 2 sets in 8 months. They wear out super fast. EBC was kind enough to send me a second set due to issues with the first one. However, the second set wore off just as quickly. By the way, my rotors were EBC drilled. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Dirty dusty brakes!

These are definitely not dustproof brakes! They actually produce, I would say, more brake dust than my previous brakes. I won't buy them again. They offer a good, solid grip. But it's hard to get rid of the need to wash your rims and tires weekly to get rid of black soot.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • -

Brake dust on the brake pads

I installed them about 3 or 4 months ago they are great brakes I have noticed a big difference in my stopping distance the only problem is brake dust there is a lot left I say that it's not, my discs look like they're smoked when I can't keep up with them. but the brakes are great.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Beware of brake dust

A HUGE amount of black brake dust just isn't worth using this product. No joke with the amount of brake dust. It would be nice if I could post a photo here. To update. These pads DESTROYED my rotors! There's still a lot of pads left, but they completely ate my stock Silverado rotors. Did I mention the HUGE amount of black brake dust?

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing

Good brake pads with good stopping power

I bought these Ebc DP61742 brake pads for my 2007 Tacho 4x4. They work just as well as stocks for about half the price. They come with a red anti-squeak line and black spacers. They were easy to assemble and fit perfectly. My only complaint is that they only last about a year with the way I drive. I drive about 10-12 thousand kilometers a year. Brake dust is fine with these pads. Not great, but not terrible either.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Just as good as original GM pads for less money

When I change pads I always replace front and rear pads together. This is the second set of EBC Green pads I put on our 2007 Yukon. The pads work well but are not an improvement over the OEM pads that GM installs at the factory. To me, EBC pads are nothing more than a cheaper option to GM factory pads. On this particular vehicle, brake feel and stopping distance with EBC Green installed is no better than stock pads.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Hard but dirty! for brake pads

I bought these for my 2007 Tahoe looking for a brake booster. The pads came quickly, installed with no problems. I saw an immediate HUGE increase in stopping power. They are truly amazing in terms of the difference in stopping distance and pedal feel. Minus the dust. They produce copious amounts of black, resilient brake dust. I can wash the car and the rims and literally 3 days later the front wheels are painted again. I suspect this is a compromise for sticky pads. Poor stopping power but…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Not the best
