Why did I wait so long to replace this part?! I've dealt with a center console for years that would open up and sometimes pop out completely. My husband replaced this part for me a while ago and it still works great and that's only a fraction of what the dealer was willing to charge for it. Would give more stars if I could!

I experienced what many others have said. I took my Tacoma 05 to a local dealer and they said I needed a whole console. $295 plus labor. So thankful for this part. My console closes and works great. They even provided a screwdriver to do it right out of the box. Thank you to this company for the honesty of the service department in these dealers. Highly recommended!

Completely repaired a defective OEM part on my 2010 taco. It is quite easy to install and has been working normally for a few months. The color and texture of the faux leather don't match perfectly, but it's a small detail that's hard to spot for even this perfectionist car enthusiast. The little screwdriver that comes with the kit is why this kit is better than any other. That role is great, but the driver is now one of my favorites for all sorts of other jobs.

You will also need to remove the cover from the underside of the console cover to access the screws holding the button. The addition of a screwdriver is a good thing, but since the screws are on the short side, I had to use my magnetized screwdriver to make sure the screws fit the holes properly. I was able to magnetize the one sent, but I didn't as I had it on hand. The exchange took less than 5 minutes. Works perfectly. would recommend.
