This is a pre-filter designed to keep larger debris from clogging the main filtration media. Removal of pre-filter may damage the filter. REPLACES ACDELCO A3397C, FRAM CA11895, PUROLATOR A58172, TOYOTA 17801-0P100, 17801-0S020, WIX WA10085. Fits perfectly, good quality product

Perfect for airbox, filter element for my Tacoma has two density filters, a thicker pre-filter and a less dense paper element permanently glued together. OEM price and same quality as far as I can tell.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Defects

The filter is not what you get

The photo does not show the actual filter. The actual filter has a 1/4 + or - layer of material attached to the bottom of the filter. I returned it out of concern that this would restrict airflow. It's annoying when the product description is different from what you get.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Security

Great Value Filter

I installed this filter on my Toyota Tundra in less than five minutes. It fits perfectly and is a durable quality product. Definitely better than paying over $50 to install at a dealership. If you don't know how to set a filter, a quick search on Google or YouTube will give you all you need. It's very simple, so don't be afraid to buy this filter and make your own.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • For Retirees

Not comparable to OEM

Unlike the OEM, this filter comes with a glued-on foam pre-filter that cannot be removed. The rubber gasket is also thinner than the OEM. I was concerned that the pre-filter was restricting airflow too much, so I decided to replace the OEM filter instead. To find the correct OEM filter simply look at your current filter which should have the part number printed on it. For my Tundra it was 17801-0P100.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Useless features

The picture here does not show the actual filter, but .

The photo does not show the actual filter, it has a 1/4" "Filter" layer glued to the surface of the suction side, so I think it catches larger particles on its surface and when it is full of these particles it prevents air from flowing into the crumpled surface areas that we see on a conventional air filter, particularly the 'glue' has taken up a lot of the surface area This layer was not shown in the photo.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Damaged

It is very similar to the 2014 original.

Looks very similar to the original 2014 Tundra filter, but I've noticed it's not as tight as the original when I lock the air intake tabs. The rubber seal on the Ecogard is slightly thinner. I sent back the original filter for comparison and the closures of the caps have more resistance. I've tested both about 3 times and the original definitely has a thicker rubber gasket. I don't want to risk dust getting into those rubber seals, so I returned Ecograd.

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • I'm concerned

Perfect fit for 2016 Tundra SR5 TRD double cab

Exact replacement for the stock air filter. I read other reviews that it didn't fit perfectly or the extra fine micro filter caused people to return the item. The filter I received didn't have a thin extra layer so it looked and fit the same as the factory air filter. I felt it necessary to point this out as Revane said this one didn't fit and the one they suggested instead didn't fit. I am happy with this purchase and saved money as the dealer charged over $100 to replace the filter. Total…

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Negative sign present
