DO NOT BUY THIS for Filter

After trying to install it because it doesn't fit I had to use a long screw to hold the filter, I start the car and it leaks very badly. spend my money

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Fits

Doesn't quite fit a '92 Accord but worked

The top edge of the filter cover is designed to fit into a groove in the car bracket that holds it. so that it fits completely in the holder.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Poorly designed

Doesn't work but great customer service

Doesn't work in my 1993 Honda Civic EX 1.6 due to a clip or sleeve holding the fuel line in place. The rounded edge was too wide to fit in the gap. The fuel lines and bolts are to my car's specs, 5 stars because they refunded my order and I didn't have to return it. Excellent customer service

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Low repairability

Problem Installing Fuel Filter

I installed this fuel filter on a 1993 Honda Del Sol Si with a D16Z6 engine. The filter is mounted in the mounting groove on the bulkhead. As you can see in the photo, the new fuel filter's mounting flange was much wider (top filter in photo) than the original fuel filter (bottom filter in photo). I was able to open the mounting slot with pliers to mount it, but I had to use a longer screw to attach the filter to the firewall. A 15-minute job turned into a two-hour nightmare.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • No Automatic

Will not fit 1994 Honda Civic

Claimed to fit 5th generation 91-95 Honda Civic and not without major metal changes. The factory formed round bracket has a groove at the top that will fit the top ring of the fuel filter and then screw the bracket back onto the firewall bracket. This secondary fuel filter has a metal ring that is too thick to fit in the factory bracket groove so you CANNOT screw the bracket into place without sanding the entire top ring, which I didn't want to do. Keep this in mind if you have a 5th Gen Civic!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Helped get my '92 Accord working.

Nothing to say except that it does what it's supposed to do. I used this to change the fuel filter on my 1992 Honda Accord EX. The car sat for a year and a half without maintenance and would not start. I diagnosed it as a fuel problem and replaced the fuel pump first. After that it started but worked very hard, smoke came out of the exhaust pipe and finally went out after a few minutes. After replacing the fuel filter with an Ecogard XF54689, it now starts very easily and runs smoothly without…

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Working speed
