I don't know if it's because of the volume or how annoying the sound is. The pumping action sounds very clunky, almost like a muffled annoying buzzer. If you take it and press it, it becomes much quieter. So, like one of the other reviewers, I'm going to buy some extra rubber clamps to increase case tension and reduce that annoying rumble.

Wow, that's great! It's absolutely SILENT. It is quieter than any other smaller single outlet pump I have. This is very important because I keep it in my room. Not only that, but this thing is powerful! It's fully adjustable, but I don't use it on the highest settings because it's too high. So this product is quieter, more powerful and has 2 outputs for the same price as an air pump of comparable size. 5 Stars!

I used to have two separate air pumps for my two aquariums that were close together. I decided to try this when one of my pumps failed. This dual exhaust pump works great, is stronger and pushes more air than the two single pumps I had. Takes up less space and seems quieter than 2 smaller ones. The smaller ones were the same brand that has lasted me for a long time.

GREAT FLOW! Slightly noisier than the previous pump, but the flow (output) is absolutely AMAZING! It's about 40 dB, so there's a little hum. But put it on a towel and it will fall 1/2. The best thing is the great flow! I have measured two pumps in the lab and this one is $1 more and twice as loud but has three times the flow. It says it delivers 7.9 l/min, but I measured 5.17. Closer than the cheaper one (allegedly 4 L/min, actually 1.58)

I bought this for hydroponics because it claims it can be used for that. It has two outlets and the ability to adjust the air supply. This worked with my two diffusers, but when I bought a third diffuser and replaced it with a new round stone, it failed to create bubbles. I bought a new pump and it failed. Then I realized how little it actually spends - even at max. Now my plants are so big and healthy - no problems like before.

This air pump is made with quality components and is significantly stronger than the competition. It produces an intense burst of air bubbles and is customizable to your needs. It's definitely not loud, but the pump constantly emits a low, monotonous hum. This is not a problem and does not bother the family members despite the proximity to their bedrooms. Bought to replace a broken pump and a very noisy pump. It was slightly quieter than the noisy pump it replaced on the lowest setting. I bought some airflow reducer valves to try and calm it down even more based on some other reviews which helped a bit too. A bubble wand with thinner holes than the old bubble stones also seemed to help keep the noise (slightly) down. However, after a few months, it seemed like the noise had intensified.
