Works perfectly! on Engines & Engine Parts

So far I am very happy with the work. The bad side is the finish. There were several threaded holes in the valve cover that needed to be drilled. There were also screw holes in the head that had shavings in them. Be sure to check and clean all screw holes. Obviously this is a quality control issue.

Pros
  • Motorkit products
Cons
  • Long delivery time

It's almost a must have for a budget build.

Got this for my 02 Grand Cherokee 4.0. Not ironed, still worth 4.0. Paired with Lunati cams, heavily modified intake, rhythm manifold, HP Tuners MPVI2 programmer. The header should match the port above since the port is higher (FYI). Wasn't on the route yet. The rear tires chirp (that's four-wheel drive!).

Pros
  • Engines and engine parts
Cons
  • boring packaging

Expensive but high quality parts are not usually available

I've bought one back and forth. It's not cheap, and there are good "upgraded" cast heads available for cheaper. I lightened my TJ with aluminum plates and other lightweight parts, and when Jeep went on a diet I settled on a Edelbrock head. Torque, weight savings and reliability are all goals of my build. Jeep has a 4.88 speed transmission and 35 inch tires. The current engine setup is a K&N filter and a short intake manifold. Edelbrock head, Comp Cams Xtreme 4x4 cams with appropriate lifters…
