Stripping Tool broke on second use

I did a practice run on a spare length of cable and was able to strip the coax cable like a charm. When I went to the length of cable that needed the replacement end and tried again, I heard a crack from inside the tool and it no longer grips the cable making it impossible to make a good cut. I tried looking at the tool to see what broke, but didn't see anything obvious. I finally used a set of wire strippers to strip the cable and then used the compression tool to secure the new end. WOrks good when you figure out what the instructions would tell you

Works good when you figure out what the instructions would have told you (in other words, there are no instructions). The stripping blades cut too deep on the outer vinyl, but the inter blade does a good clean job!
