🔊 Eheim 8596 100 High-Performance Air Pump Review

I bought this pump because of the comments on how quiet this pump is. Unfortunately, the noise level has slowly increased since I've had it. not very happy

I love this silent air pump. I use it for air stones and sponge filters and it works really well. Quality construction costs a little more, but if you're like me I don't need to hear the air pump.

This was my third attempt to find a good air pump. Aside from having to look for the little rubber feet (they come off very easily), this thing was perfect - even after being knocked off the stand twice.

The pump is very quiet, you will hear bubbles above this pump. The adjustment function is good and comes with a check valve. Problem? Just one stone will work. I'm used to being the best for size but not here. It works ok with 1 sponge filter. It will not work with an underground dual rock filter. Even worse with a built-in check valve. Offer to buy larger sizes on everything but an aeroston.

Works great! And the thing is silent! Yes, if you put your ear to it you can hear the rumble. But that's literally what I have to do to hear anything. I wish my HOB filter was at least half as quiet. I have a tank that is 24 inches deep and pushes air slightly to the air stone at the bottom. The air pressure control also works great and can be adjusted in a wide range. I just estimated that by reducing to the minimum you could reduce the flow by MORE than half of its maximum setting. It clearly

I love Ehiem products. I have several canister filters that are amazing. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the Eheims air pump. I have a small air line, an air stone and a built in adjustable outlet. The problem is I have a $6 10 gallon Tetra air pump that has twice the capacity and half the noise.
