Great 250w heater for fish and aquatic animals

The 250w heater works great in my 75 gallon reef tank. I liked the heater so much that I bought another one as a replacement.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • little things

So Far So Good - Aquarium Heaters and Coolers

This is a very long heater. Got it at 55 gallons and had to clear the gravel out of the way to get it to fit. Set the temp to 78 and the water in the tank reached 82 in 8 hours so I had to lower the temp a few times to get it to 78. So I doubt the accuracy. But so far it's stable.

Only for large aquariums

I found it good that you can regulate the temperature. Unfortunately, the heating in it is not very accurate. Also, and perhaps more importantly, this is only suitable for aquariums 50 gallons or larger. I put 10 gallons and the heater is sticking out of the tank.

Pros
  • a nice thing

Attention buyers: Aquarium Heater and Cooler

This heater worked great for 6 months then I noticed it was starting to overheat my aquarium by about 2 degrees so I adjusted it a bit. After that, my tank temperature fluctuates constantly from 75 to 85. A piece of garbage, I hope my fish survive until I get a cheaper substitute

Pros
  • Very good price

Seam opens best in Fish & Aquatic Pets

Of the 3 hunters I bought, 2 came apart at the seam causing lots of condensation and increased fear of frying fish. Both heaters are only 2 months old. I have been warned that this is a dangerous risk that could result in the loss of my fish. As a precaution, this heater is only used to heat aged water for water changes. I am still waiting for a message from eheim on this matter.

I won't lie, for me this product was exactly 2.5, not good but not bad

This heater works well, has a light to let you know it's on and shines yours work to do. The downsides are the suction cups are poorly made and I didn't know how to change the temperature for five minutes. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but I've been an aquarium owner for four years, I usually figure things out pretty quickly. . I can't in good conscience give a purchase recommendation, but I can't say that it's a bad product either.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Reliability

Yager is still the best!

Although this heater is very long (17 inches), in some aquariums you may need to lay it on its side to fit. At the same time, the "set it and forget it” principle is the norm for Jager. Read a few, and I mean very few, bad reviews, but as with any other product, there may be some that don't work properly. With more professions using this compared to other brands it's no wonder they're best selling. I've used them in discus aquariums where water temperature is important and have had no problems…
