Although this heater is very long (17 inches), in some aquariums you may need to lay it on its side to fit. At the same time, the "set it and forget it” principle is the norm for Jager. Read a few, and I mean very few, bad reviews, but as with any other product, there may be some that don't work properly. With more professions using this compared to other brands it's no wonder they're best selling. I've used them in discus aquariums where water temperature is important and have had no problems with them in 15 years of use. You get what you pay for!
