This is awesome and really takes the light to the next level! However, the installation is very difficult. It adds over 3 inches to the ceiling, which means you might run into the same issues if the light you bought doesn't have particularly long mounting hardware to mount it. My husband had to go out and buy a brand new lamp/hardware set with a longer piece. After 2 days he finally received it and it is beautiful.

This was great value. Very light weight. Easy to install and easy to paint. I had to add something very quickly above the chandelier in my daughter's bedroom to transform the space. It was an excellent choice. Highly recommended. If you see my photos, the locket may appear smaller than it actually is simply because it is placed above a large, life-size chandelier that once stood in the dining room. I'd say it's about "medium sized". It worked great.

This is very light weight, it looks like foam injection molded with a mold and then primed. The surface was very smooth and worked well with my latex and oil paints. It would have been beautiful in all metallic colors but I wanted something more dramatic because of the ornate chandelier I have.
