Works as described would buy again

Exactly what I was looking for. The hardest part was deciding which drawing to use. This is a plastic (PVC) material that is easy to color, the center hole can also be cut/adjusted to your size, and it is lightweight. Although the plastic doesn't look cheap or flimsy. There is no installation guide, but everything is quite simple. You can either use adhesive putty or the pressure from what you are installing may be enough to hold it in place as shown. Very happy with it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Update available

Like a thin plastic plate that you want to throw away.

This pvc was so thin it bent when it arrived. I had a feeling it might rip or tear during installation and with the flex it probably won't sit right up against the ceiling. I feel like it was a waste of time ordering this and had to return it. I'm still watching We bought some foam ceiling tiles and they look good, but they were a lot thicker and I don't see how you can make something so cheap and flimsy that it probably won't even hang from the ceiling.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Beware - they are cheap because they are thin and not actual lockets

I have ordered over 30 lockets (I paint them professionally) and they look more like cheap plastic paper plates than lockets. I have to send them back as they are not what I would call a real "locket" - the material is very fragile. I thought I would get a lot but I could never sell it to my customers! Now I know not to buy "deep drawn" lockets. Spend your money and get a real medallion! I've had great luck with Ekena Millwork products but not with this one.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • High price

Excellent quality lighting accessories

I bought three of these medallions and have aged them slightly for the hallway, dining room and bedroom. They look great on their own, but if you want to create a vintage look, they pick up color easily. To give the medallions an antique look, apply a layer of white all around. Once dry, choose the aged paint you want to use (actually I used strong cold coffee that I swam in the crevices) and apply it to the crevices. Wipe most of the paint off right away and you have your "antique" locket. You

Just as pretty as the more expensive lockets!

I bought three of these lockets from Ekena Millwork and love them. Medallions can be placed on the ceiling or painted as is. The results look like lockets much more expensive than these. I currently have them on 12 foot ceilings and have bought new ones for a house we recently bought and are decorating. I used white latex paint on the surfaces and let it dry. I wanted them to look very aged and couldn't find a finish I liked. To "age" them, I used cotton swabs soaked in very strong coffee…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
