Beware of uneven thickness of M.2 disk

Well built and very handsome. Inexpensive and really good investment for your expensive M.2 drive. The only reason I deducted a star was because of the facility. It hurts to snap clips. The kit includes 0.5mm and 1.0mm thick thermal pads. If you follow the instructions, it says to add 0.5mm on the back of the M.2 drive and 1.0mm on the top. In this configuration I couldn't transfer the clips to my 960 EVO 1TB, but what was worse, if I did there would be an air gap in part of the top half of the

Samsung eVO 970+ runs 5 to 10 degrees cooler

To be honest I didn't expect high performance NVMe SSDs to get as hot as the m.2 SSDs I own. They do. I would also like to note that while some high-end motherboards have a built-in fan for their m.2 slots, mine doesn't. I originally solved the heat issue by installing another case fan on the side panel, but my new case is all tempered glass. I have to control the temperature differently. I ordered two of these radiators and they look amazing and work great. I want to thank the other reviewers…

Hardly missed 5 stars (read)

Functionally, this radiator is simply outstanding. With the Corsair M2 NVME, they shouldn't get very hot (70°C or higher). With the heatsink installed, under load and poor ventilation (results depend on many factors), my M2 peaked at 44C, which is well below that. In terms of performance, it's worth its weight in gold. Now for some problems: 1) The packaging is 100% matte, white, with no inscriptions. (Product well packaged) 2) Instructions are minimal, enough to figure it out, but a beginner…

Installation according to instructions on my Samsung 970 Evo does not work. Even with great force, the clamps will not snap. For fear of breaking the card I decided to just use a 0.5mm spacer on either side. This made it possible to clamp two plates, but without gaskets. I tried using 1mm spacing but the configuration flexed. So I left it as is and there is a gap as you can see in the picture. You can also see scratches on the heatsink from installation. I have posted monitoring charts before…

Win. Great optics, cooler temperatures. What more can you ask for?

Okay, this won't make your M.2 drive faster or take up more space. Those are really the only things one could ask for. BUT, that little heatsink is pretty cool - haha, got it?! Although really. It looks very nice inside the case and cools my M.2 Samsung 950 Pro by about 10-12 degrees on average. I wasn't too concerned about temps in the mid to high 40's, but temps in the mid 30's are better :) Installation was easy enough. Power off the device, remove the M.2 drive, cut the thermal pads to…

Small temperature difference; works fine but I was hoping for more

I have purchased several crypto mining gaming desktops and they all came with Western Digital (WD) Blue 500GB NVMe drives except one with 240GB SSD. I replaced them with either a Samsung 970 EVO NVMe or a WD Black NVMe, all 1TB. I immediately noticed that all 1TB drives ran significantly hotter, averaging 50-53C. I wouldn't worry, except after installing HD Sentinel when the NVMe drives hit 45, the color changed to yellow and then to critical red once they hit 50. Although many technical…
