Do not bring into kitchen and dining room

The inner "metal" lining of the kettle is slowly peeling off. At first I thought it might be a salt buildup, but on closer inspection it's definitely flaking off slowly but surely - I really hope that doesn't turn out to be dangerous.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No dispenser

I hate giving this review!

Guys, I've been looking for an all-metal kettle for a long time. I threw away the Dualit which has plastic parts that come in contact with water. The same goes for Aroma, Haden and so on. It seems it is! At first it seemed amazing. Until a few weeks went by and I started noticing an odd taste. (I have strong taste buds.) Can anyone tell me why a metal kettle gives the water an odd chemical taste? Note that the heating base seems to smell.

What's not to love?

I have been using a stovetop kettle for years and thought it was the best way to make good tea every morning until finally I was convinced to buy this. Glad you did! It cooks so fast and is easy to wash. Set and forget! Then, when I'm late making the tea, I just flip the pretty acrylic switch and quickly boil it back up. I love that the switch sticks out just enough that I can see it even when I'm half asleep :D and that it's pink. Simply sweet in every way. Absolutely effective!

3 months review. Don't doubt!

Waited a few months to write a realistic review. So from a $20 to $150 pot, I'll only rebuy in that pot. Features ideally takes about 2-3 minutes to cook. Yes, I said COOKING. This pot is actually boiling and I like to say it. If you've had other pots in the past, you know what I mean. Will not rust or stain inside. No plastic parts, except for the ring on the upper finger. No complaints, after 3 months of use everything is fine. Don't waste your money on more expensive or cheaper ones. The…

Not recommended: kitchen and dining room

Kettle looks nice but I wouldn't buy it again for the following reasons: - Base, switch and top of handle are cheap plastic - Lid is lame. very hot (the handle that doesn't burn your hand seems like a pretty basic feature) - the lid is so tight that when you pull it out water squirts out which is dangerous - you know it's a kettle and stuff - next time I would buy a shorter and stockier kettle as it is much easier to fill. The kettle doesn't have an external indicator of how full it is, so its…

Finally Best Kettle Winner

I have previously written a review but never submitted it. Now that this thing doesn't work, the following words are worthless. Basically, the compound is probably clogged with minerals. Has worked fine for 15 months. I love this teapot. This is the third time since my old man died a slow death and the third time is a spell. On off. Easy. Retro looks in red. Keeps you warm. It's pouring great. I tried the white euro which looked great on the counter but didn't like how it squirted and poured…
