Review on Electric ASCOT Stainless BPA Free Automatic by Amanda Thomas

I have previously written a review but never submitted it. Now that this thing doesn't work, the following words are worthless. Basically, the compound is probably clogged with minerals. Has worked fine for 15 months. I love this teapot. This is the third time since my old man died a slow death and the third time is a spell. On off. Easy. Retro looks in red. Keeps you warm. It's pouring great. I tried the white euro which looked great on the counter but didn't like how it squirted and poured too quickly so I sent it back. It wasn't a deal either. Then I got a nice glass model with all the bells and whistles of different temperatures and heat storage settings, but after a couple of weeks it died quickly when something fell out of the top cabinet and broke the thing. This model is inexpensive and heats up. about the same as the others. Just beware of the separate lid, the metal handle of which gets very hot - in most cases you don't need to touch it anyway, unless you're filling the carafe with cold water. I think a spare plastic grip is included for safety reasons, but the original fits so well I just left it alone. Very happy with this purchase. I hope he lives a long healthy life. UPDATE, of course, is that its on/off lever died after 15 months of daily use.
