I live in a basement apartment without a stove. It has made my life so much better. Now I can prepare wholesome meals for myself and my husband again.

Excellent distiller. Make sure you read the instructions as it says that after cleaning the burner needs to be warmed up before first use, it will burn whatever is left over from production. The smell was a bit strong.

When I was remodeling my kitchen I decided not to put the stove and oven back to save space. This burner is perfect. Most of the time I only need two burners anyway and I never use the oven because I don't bake anything. I have a toaster for when I need something. This burner is attractive and works well. I just press it against the back of the counter and when I need it I bring it to the edge and tuck it in.

I have just purchased this cast iron double burner from Ovente to use during our ongoing kitchen remodel and it works perfectly. Of course, it takes longer to boil water than a traditional stove, but it still boils water. It takes about 12 minutes to boil 5 cups of water so I adjust my meal prep accordingly, no big deal. Several features of this burner make it less functional than expected.1. The burners are taking longer than expected to heat up. You have no instant heat.2. The lights will illuminate during heating but will turn off when the burner has reached the desired temperature and will not indicate that the burner is on.
