For the price . This is a great leak detector. It's simple, reliable, comes with a VERY nice case and extra tip, and works well. Comes with a holster on the belt which I find handy.

Keeps giving me false alarms even when there are no possible leaks around. I've tried changing the calibration to a less sensitive one, but then no real leaks are detected. Also needs to be reinstalled every minute or else it goes crazy. Ultimately, the only real practical use for this thing is to find the source of a known leak, and even then it's a lot of trial and error with all the wrong readings. You really do get what you pay for and this thing is cheap.

I was so hoping that this would work based on the positive feedback. I first tried to find an R22 leak in my home HVAC system. He found nothing at all sensitivity levels.
