🌡️ Enhanced Elitech ILD-200 Infrared Refrigerant Leak Detector for HVAC & Halogen Gas: Advanced AC Sniffer Review

I am a local mechanic providing my clients with automotive mechanics and diagnostic services including air conditioning work. I found this machine relatively easy to use. More importantly, I'm impressed with its accuracy and the user's ability to set the "sniff" sensitivity level. This machine has been fairly rated for how well it has performed so far.

I've used it on a R134A and it seems to work pretty well. content in the air. For example, if you try to sniff the cooling air duct to determine if there is a freon leak in the evaporator, the moisture content of the condensate will start the unit the same way a freon leak would. I don't know if this is common with other freon leak detectors.

This is a great leak detector, easy to use and very accurate. The device has multiple sensitivity options (Low/Medium/High). Each option allows you to analyze the situation in more detail. The range of the tester block is large for narrow areas. I tested the device on my air conditioner and water heater. I found several leaks in the water heater and a small leak in the air conditioner. In general, the leak detector has helped me fix leaks in several household appliances.

This is the second Elitech product I have purchased, the first was returned immediately. The volume of the loudspeaker in the leak detector is so low that it can hardly be heard even in a quiet room. I wrote to support and asked if I could turn up the volume somehow. They did what I hate and answered a question with a question. Instead of answering me they asked for a video.
