Complete disappointment. Useless device.

When trying to detect a Freon-22 leak, I noticed that the detector goes off an alarm no matter what surface approaches the tip of the probe, even my finger, and at any intensity. The probe was completely useless. What a disappointment!

Does not appear overly sensitive

, I wanted to check for a leak in our air conditioner at home, but it is not sensitive enough. I could barely see the familiar freon leak in our car air conditioner. I intend to test it further in different situations to better understand its sensitivity.

Nice but useless. Best in Air Conditioning Tools & Equipment

It's really beautiful, simple and practical, but it's just a toy. I mean it works but I hear it before it can be detected. So if you are deaf it is perfect for you. It's useless and if you put it on skin it works too lol or any other surface so don't want to do the work just use that and say it's leaking πŸ˜‚

I bought this leak detector to fix an air conditioning problem in my 2002 Chevy Blazer. My old (expensive) leak detector finally gave up and forced me to buy a new one. I'm glad I did. This detector costs a lot less than my original and is faster and more accurate. He quickly determined that I had a leaking core in the Schrader valve on the low pressure side.
