🌾 Enhanced Support Brace Kit for Universal Lawn Garden Tractor Hitch Towing Receiver Review

My mower had gussets in the way of the bottom bracket. I just cut slots in the bracket to give some clearance. As expected from other reviews, one screw was missing from the ideal but I still have it. The mount looks great and I will be using it to move a 6x10 trailer around the yard.

wanted to make one but found the following, my husqvarna tractor tow hook was too low for a jack on my 5x8 utility, the extension cured this and is much more useful than one tractor offers supply (basically a ring). There's a lot of metal and work involved. The instructions aren't five stars, the pica isn't great, and the spelling is terrible. Just check out the ones on the Revain list and that's it.

The clutch pad could be a bit heavier but the top brace strengthens the construction. Installation instructions are scant, but a photo of the completed installation makes it clear how to do it. I like that the hardware was included, but it would be preferable if an additional bolt/nut assembly was provided for the 2-bolt top brace. Overall, this is a better device than the single clutch plate offered by others.

Excellent hitch. I installed the two included optional top mounts on my 2018 Cub Cadet LT42 XT1. I drilled three holes in the mower's back plate where the top three 3/8 bolts could be attached. The bottom bolt fits where the original Cub tow hole was. Drill easily with a good DeWalt bit for metal drilling. With the bracket I have the best angle for drilling with a long drill bit. Very happy with how it looks and feels.

Very durable. There are 2 top mount options, you will only use one or the other. One L-shaped, the other triangular. If you are using a triangular piece you will need an additional screw which is not included in the kit. Parts can be purchased at any hardware store for about $1. The included instructions are terrible, but after looking at the overview photos on Amazon, it's pretty easy. I used a 3/8" drill bit and it worked great. Would buy again. Very heavy. This is a very solid hitch assembly but take some measurements to make sure it fits your mower etc BEFORE ORDERING. I made my own fit, but I had to cut two "notches" to fit my mower's clutch plate. The steel is VERY hard and cuts well. A slight downside is that the spot where the hitch ball nut goes in is a little tight so it takes a bit of fiddling to get the bushing onto the nut. I will say that the instructions that came with the kit are pretty much useless - they look like a copy of a copy…

Overall this is a good addition for the driver. However, I had to spend several hours modifying/installing it. When you have a handyman like me, the backplate stretches out so the base piece doesn't sit properly against the backplate. An angle grinder was used to pinch off the edges of the base piece. After this was done I had to drill 4 holes in the back panel. You should check the hardware first to make sure you drill the correct size holes as I noticed they sent me different hardware than…
