I just got this today and am very excited. This will be my second embroidery kit. I love how it comes with a needle threader but I don't know how to use these embroidery boards? There are no instructions for their use. If the instructions were a little clearer, I would definitely give it 5 stars. Anyone know anything about these boards?

This stand was very easy to assemble. It seems very durable and I was up and running (or sewing) within minutes. I'm right handed so I tuck it under my left foot but for left handed you can flip it. You can also put it on the table, but it may be a little high. The height can be increased, but in the photo it is the lowest. It is unfinished so you can stain or paint it if you like. I wish I had had this many years ago! So comfortable!

If you embroider without a stand, then your work is not the best. It takes some getting used to as your hoop is held in one place and you have to move around, but no back pain for me, I don't have to look for a random surface to balance myself, awkwardly balancing the hoop on my knee and my chest. It came with a missing piece of wood, a turned part of a stick and some edges that need sanding down to avoid the risk of snagging the embroidery. Around the plywood base was a gray substance, either wood glue or dirt, giving it a dirty appearance. The part of the handle that you use to adjust the height has wood threads that can wear out faster. I'm handy, so these are smaller things I can fix myself.
