The pan is beautiful. I made two batches of jowar pancakes. The delicious pancakes had a wonderful flavor with a delicious imprint. I made sure the batter was more liquid and the flame was low. This is a trick to ensure each pancake has a footprint.

Now I have a very happy grandson who loves breakfast! So far I am VERY happy with this product! Good, even heating and I can either flip the pancakes one at a time with a bamboo skewer or invert the entire pan onto another heated pan to brown the backside while I make another emoji circle! This is a fun product!

Our church has had a number of sermons on how to deal with emotions in a biblically sound way. On the first Sunday of the series we had a big emoji pancake setup and we used that pan. It was a great success! A great topic of conversation for adults and the whole family. Since we had so much to cook, to speed things up we poured in the batter and let it cook on one side, then flipped everything (at once) in the pan to cook on the other side. on the other side, pour a new batch into the emoji…

I keep the pan on low heat while I knead the dough, spraying it with sand just before it's done. The emoji look great when the pan is hot enough and there is some oil on it. It's a thick pan, so if it's not hot enough and not greased enough, the pancakes will turn pale with faded emojis. Never had a problem with sticking or flipping. Cleaning only requires a quick rinse, but is also dishwasher safe. I would recommend a batter dispenser to avoid a mess, unless you have serious scooping skills…

Nice idea, but it's too difficult to flip the pancake, especially when you're trying to put it back where you got it. And to think that you need 2 pans at a time to cook the other side after flipping it is just ridiculous and not worth the effort. It would be a lot easier if it was double sided and you just flipped the whole pan over to cook the other side. Wouldn't that make more sense? I'm trying to make pancakes fun for my son but right now it's easier filling the batter and drawing with it…
