you get what you paid for. I should have read the reviews instead of quickly adding it to my cart because of the price. To be too good to be true. One cracked before I even opened the package! I hope other sharpeners for my 3rd grade will last a while.

I liked that they are inexpensive but you get what you pay for. I bought about 20 pieces for K-8 Art Classe. After less than 45 minutes of use, a student dropped his and it broke. Shortly thereafter, two student sharpeners fell out of the lid, forcing them to sharpen their pencils over a rectangular plastic container. During my next 45 minute session, this happened to 3 other students. On the second day I think I only have one left in its original condition.

I am very satisfied with these pencil sharpeners. I have used one of these pencil sharpeners on two pencils that were in dire need of sharpening and with only 5-6 turns of the pencil in the sharpener - I had very sharp points on my pencils. I would prefer all pencil sharpeners to have light colored caps rather than 3 of them being black. But that doesn't stop me from ordering them again. I'm glad the lids fit snugly, keeping the pencil shavings in the container until I'm ready to pour them out.
